Tofu Recipes
Baked Tofu
  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Cut tofu into 1/2" thick cubes (or slabs, or whatever)
  • Marinade them in the following marinade for five minutes (or fifteen minutes)
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 2tb maple syrup
    • 2tb ketchup
    • 1tb vinnegar
    • dash of hot sauce
    • 1tb seasame seeds
    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Bake 15 minutes on baking sheet, flip, bake for another 15.
Cold Tofu
  • Boil water
  • Cut tofu into 1/2" thick slabs
  • Use paper towels to press out as much of the water as possible.
  • Boil forever. V. important to add water if neccessary, as the first time I tried this I ran out of water and burned them... which was actually kinda tasty.
  • Boil them some more. I think I kept them boiling for half an hour.
  • Dab them artistically with the following Spicy Sauce:
  • Place on cucumbers, and wrap with strips of pear skin.
The cucumbers are maybe necessary, because I made sure that the sauce was pretty spicy. The pear skins aren't as necessary, but the hint of fruit that they added complimented the peach in the sauce.
