I might start dating this really cool person--gosh I hope so, but it's not really the sort of thing I want to go into detail about in this format, so you'll have to remain ignorant. She's awesome, but it might not work out. In addition, it looks like I'll design Provision Theatre's production of Smoke on the Mountain this week
Anyway, so this is just a quick note to say how much I love the feeling of potential--it's like really good junk food. Those daydreams where I'm playing to a packed arena are like tasty soda--it won't happen, at least not anytime soon, so it's just sweet syrup. Looking forward to designing my first show in the city is more like an airport cinnamon roll--still just empty calories, but at least it's filling. And tasty.
Actually being in a relationship is hard work, as is lighting a show. Extremely rewarding work, of course, and I really look forward to it, but just savoring the Cinnabons of Anticipation is awfully nice.
And yes, mostly I wrote this so that I could say "The Cinnabons of Anticipation", and yes, that should be my band name. You know, for when I'm rocking out the packed arena.
