I do love reading about Nero Wolfe. I plan to read a lot more in this series (there are over forty novels) so I'll just refer you to the article about them on my 'blog.
This particular novel was fun for the final final twist:
Wolfe was so blase about the murder of the adulterous wife and mother that I actually thought he approved of it. But then he ultimately assured that the son got his revenge. And, of course, it meant that he didn't have to leave home in order to go to the trial.
